  1. Hey Britney

Nicholas here, firstly your blog page is amazing; it is put together very well and caught my attention right away. I really enjoyed reading your first blog post, I can tell it has been well thought-out. The part the rescenated with me most is your personal goal of making math more engaging and approachable. I think that we can both agree that many students have a fear of math, but it is our jobs as teachers to light that fire. Getting them to enjoy it like any other subject. Great post again. Cheers Nicholas

  2. Great start to your blog, Britney. I appreciate that your are solidifying and stating some of your goals as a math teacher and using weekly resources to solidify your own philosophy.

  3. Is your blog set up so that comments will appear under each weekly post rather than just at the end? If not, please work on this as the comments will be best used in this way.

  4. Hey Britney, I also really liked the owl exercise. Partially because I also like owls and also because it relied upon spatial awareness. I find problems like that one quite easy as I can process all the views given and immediately visualize it in my mind. I like how you found a strong curriculum connection to the kitten food problem. That one was also very interesting for me because we got to see how our classmates think through problems when specific constraints are placed on us.

  5. Hey Britney,

You always have the best blogs! Love it!

Well said! I enjoyed how you solidified everything we have done in the class and adopted it to your teaching philosophy and pedagogy. I also agree with how we congratulate or praise our students - we must always ensure everyone is doing their best!

    - Great stuff!
