GH Ted Talk

This is my genius hour TED Talk! I had a lot of fun with this genius hour project. I was able to put some of my time and energy into something that different than what I usually do. This is the result of my genius hour adventure I have been on over the last few weeks. I'm happy to say that I've evolved into a better teacher by going through this experience!

Hope you all enjoy the video, thanks for watching!

  1. Great TED Talk! I really enjoyed your TED Talk and the information you included. I liked how you included images that related to what you were talking about while you were talking. It was a great technique that enabled the viewer to visualize what you were describing. I particularly liked your art and geography week. As you were biased with English, I am biased with Geography for that's what I studied. I think that the activities that you incorporated during that week were very innovative and creative. Many people just associate geography with maps and I like how you were able to use art to teach about other important areas of the subject! Overall your video was very informative and presented nicely. The transitions were smooth and you engaged your viewers. You demonstrated god ways to incorporate art into lessons and the importance and benefits that come from it. I learned a lot from your TED Talk and will be taking some points you made and incorporate art into lessons when I get my own classroom! :)

  2. Hi Britney!

This is a fascinating TED Talk, and one that's genuinely applicable to our area of study as teacher candidates. You did a good job tying your personal experiences and inspiration into the top (ex. talking about pointillism). Plus, the fact that you actually went out and ran activities with children instead of just researching. You also did a great job recognising and summarising the constraints and struggles you faced.
